Extract from History of Holmedale

In 1985 Norman Butcher, the vicar of the parish of Kirkby Ravensworth, wrote a book called 'The Ancient Parish of Kirkby Ravensworth' A copy of this text has kindly been made available by Mrs Pat Burgess of Ravensworth.

We have extracted the chapter on Ravensworth and, together with minor edits and the addition of some photographs it is included here.

In the future it is intended to include additional sections on other local communities in Holmedale. We hope you find this interesting.
